Mental Health Intervention

I am a Level 4 Solution-focused professional at HypnoFirst (HOF). I provide unique 1:1 bespoke therapeutic mental health interventions to help children and young people (aged 6-25) in or out of education and the community.

I use an effective solution-focused therapeutic intervention that is a person-centred approach, incorporating counselling and some NLP techniques.

“Hypnosis isn’t used in my interventions”.

It also includes my developed techniques which have proven to work effectively on children and young people; to assist them with their mental health problems, as well as assist them with some of life’s challenges.

It’s one of my areas of expertise at HOF that I enjoy.

“Effective mind intervention”.

Who I Can Work With

I can work with schools, academy trusts, councils, CPSL Mind, teachers and parents collectively in helping to support children and young people’s mental health.

I keep my service simple, organised, cost-effective, and free from problems and complications. This allows me more time to devote to each intervention and helps everyone stay informed of their progress. Excellent communication is open and available directly to everyone.

“I like keeping things simple as this helps everyone”.

As a result, parents, teachers and administrators can make the most of their time and of course, the children and young people benefit from my therapy in the best possible way.

Support That’s Needed

We know how important mental health support is for children, and we know that good mental health can be vital to a child’s success in school.

When a child becomes disengaged from education, several factors may be at play, including anger, self-esteem issues, and trauma. However, the underlying problem of why a child becomes disengaged needs to be addressed, not the symptoms.

That’s why I’ve created a new program to help kids with, for example, anger and self-esteem issues, and give them the confidence they need to succeed.

“It’s a different, fresh and effective approach”.

My 1:1 Intervention Service

My 1:1 Intervention Service provides help to disengaged children and young people who are struggling with their education. It’s targeted help for disengagement from school and life. A bespoke intervention focused on each individual I work with.

My mental well-being strategies, mentoring and effective solution-focused therapy aim to encourage them to overcome and manage issues such as emotional pain, anxiety (including anxiety in university students), anger, trauma, low self-esteem, behaviour, head-banging and distress through 1:1 sessions.

I meet each child or young person where they are to create a fun, safe, friendly and relaxed environment.

My approach can include using play to improve social and emotional skills through guided conversation that helps them understand and normalise their emotions and behaviours. I encourage greater rapport, trust and interaction.

“I don’t know what you’re doing, but keep doing it!”
– Feedback from parents and teachers.

This is helpful for children of all ages, but especially those who have experienced trauma or negative life events.

The goal for me is more than a nudge, it’s long-lasting results for minds, giving people the skills they need to overcome and manage difficult emotions, behaviour and life situations, providing them with coping skills for now and their future.

I am happy to help young children at school or students at university.

“Your work was to a very high standard, we received excellent feedback for the work you did for us”.

Notes On My Intervention

It is important to note here that although my clinical Solution-focused Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective method of treatment and helping someone, the hypnosis part is not typically used in my intervention sessions unless parents or primary caregivers request it and their child consents or if the child is 16+ and open to it.
